"I Highly Approve and Recommend the McKenzie Mechanical Method of PT"

Image
" My experience with the McKenzie Method began April 10, 2017 with an Evaluation.  I was having excruciating pain in my back, the right side.  This was a result of lifting and carrying a suitcase from the side of a van and then rolling it a good distance from the parking garage to a hospital room for 5 weeks--heavy in and then, heavy out.  The pain at the end of five weeks hit me hard.  Just trying to exit the bed at home was difficult.  I follow the mechanically directed PT exercises every two hours, without fail during the daylight hours and again at night when "Mother Nature" called.     I did find relief and the exercises continued.  As an added note, my neck injury from 31 years ago improved, as well, with specific, mechanically directed exercises, another huge relief.     I attend therapy once a week for about 6 weeks.  I knew when I was healed.  My body told me.  I was to attend my last session...

"My flexibility is considerably increased this time in PT.  Pain is almost non-existent making life much more enjoyable.  I am able to return to running something I have been unable to for the last 6 months." Nathan S - 9/28/17

"I'm A New Woman This Morning!!!"

Image
"In April I ran the Crescent City Classic. Since then I have had pain in my left ankle. Convinced I had a foot problem, she showed me with her assessment, that I was wrong! I was working harder training for a CrossFit competition with weakness in my legs. The exercises she showed me have gotten me back on track! I'm so thankful to have found her. Her knowledge gives me the ability to keep going. I will continue to get stronger! Thank you, Lynn Grimm " 9/19/17 "Yesterday this amazing woman "unkinked " my body...I'm a new woman this morning!!! Thank you, Lynn Grimm! !!" 9/20/17  Claire D.

I Don't Take Pain Meds!

Image
"I came to PT with constant back pain which made life extremely difficult.  I could not walk but a few steps without feeling pain and I was resorting to pain meds constantly.  Over the course of PT, Lynn was able to get me going back to what I was doing before.  The pain and the flare-ups of lower back pain specifically have all subsided.  I feel able to do what I was used to doing before.  I don't take pain meds and haven't needed them in weeks.  I'm glad I found Lynn and the McKenzie Method." Relief From a Nagging Injury of 5 years Feels Magical

Image
"My pain was mild enough that I correlated it to long days work.  It slowly persisted and eventually grew more noticeable and irritating.  A tightness was always present in my neck and lower back that began to spread to my shoulder and down my leg.  Squatting and bending forward became difficult in simple things like putting on my socks.  My productivity in the gym plateaued.  I attended a back and sciatica workshop with Lynn and was her subject.  I realized then how much strength and mobility was being cut off from the pain in my neck and back.  To say that Lynn is a magician undervalues her experience, education and passion she has for solving back pain.  But having relief from a nagging injury of 5 years feels magical.  Thank you Lynn." "What I Did ... Was Different and Truly Helpful!"

Image
“After I bent over to pick up something and felt something happen in my back I was in a lot of pain. It took me at least 20 minutes to be able to stand up straight in the morning! It hurt to walk after I had been still and the pain went all the way to my toes! They were numb! After physical therapy with Lynn Grimm who was highly recommended by my step-daughter who used her, I am feeling back to normal. The pain is gone and the numbness is gone also. When my doctor said I needed physical therapy, I was not happy as I have done that before, but what I did with Lynn Grimm was different and truly helpful!” –Shannon L.  6/7/2017

"Sciatic Nerve Pain"

Image
“After suffering with sciatica nerve pain for about 2 months, I decided to go see Lynn to see if physical therapy would help. I had about 2 sessions and started feeling better so I didn’t think I needed to go anymore. Lynn properly explained physical therapy is a process and, although I was feeling better, I could relapse and possibly be worse next time.  She explained the process and the anticipated results. She also explained the various types of back pain associated with the symptoms I was experiencing. After performing the exercises, testing and retesting, I have made great improvement. I feel like I have more range of movement and the sciatica nerve pain is almost completely gone. Thanks to Lynn, I am an avid believer that physical therapy and the McKenzie method truly work.” – Erin P.   5/17/2017
